Koité Grill is an authentic Senegalese restaurant with two locations in Maryland — Silver Spring (8626 Colesville Rd) and College Park (4936 Edgewood Rd). We specialize in charcoal-grilled meats, savory stews, and fresh seafood inspired by the flavors of Dakar, Senegal. The Koité family has been serving the DMV community since 2012.

We serve authentic Senegalese and West African cuisine. Our signature dishes include Dibi Lamb (charcoal-grilled lamb with seasoned onions), Thieboudienne (Senegal's national dish — seasoned rice with stuffed fish and vegetables), Jollof Rice, Yassa Chicken (lemon-onion marinated chicken), Maafe (peanut butter stew), and various grilled meats and seafood.

Yes. All meats at Koité Grill are halal-certified and sourced from trusted suppliers. Quality and faith go hand in hand at our restaurant. This applies to both our dine-in menu and catering orders.

Koité is the family name of our founders. The restaurant carries the family name as a symbol of our commitment to the Senegalese tradition of Teranga — the spirit of welcoming guests like family.

We have two Maryland locations: Silver Spring at 8626 Colesville Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20910 (phone: 240-847-7016), and College Park at 4936 Edgewood Rd, College Park, MD 20740 (phone: 240-965-6550).

Silver Spring: Monday–Thursday 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday–Saturday 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Sunday 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. College Park: Monday through Sunday, 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

We do not take reservations at this time. Seating is first-come, first-served. For large parties or events, we recommend our catering service — we can prepare trays for 5 to 200+ guests.

Yes. Both locations have nearby parking. Silver Spring has metered street parking and a public garage within walking distance. College Park has a free parking lot directly in front of the restaurant.

Yes! You can order online for pickup at koitegrill.com/menu. Select your location, browse the menu, add items to your cart, and pay securely online. Your order will be ready for pickup at the time you choose.

Yes. Vegetarian options include Veggie Jollof Rice, Couscous with vegetables, plantains, salads, and various side dishes. Please let us know about any dietary restrictions when ordering.

Thieboudienne (pronounced 'cheh-boo-jen') is Senegal's national dish. It consists of seasoned rice cooked in a rich tomato sauce with stuffed fish, cabbage, carrots, eggplant, and cassava. At Koité Grill, we serve it the traditional way — a complete one-plate meal that represents the heart of Senegalese cuisine. Priced at $24.

Dibi is the Senegalese tradition of charcoal-grilling meat over open flames. Our Dibi Lamb features cuts of lamb grilled over real charcoal until smoky and tender, then served with seasoned onions and mustard sauce. It's our signature dish and a customer favorite at $28.

Yes! We cater events of all sizes — from intimate gatherings of 5 guests to large celebrations of 200+ guests. Our catering menu includes all our signature dishes in tray sizes: Small (5 guests), Medium (10 guests), and Large (20-25 guests). Trays start at $50. We also offer Mechoui — a whole roasted lamb — for $480.

We recommend placing catering orders at least 3-5 days in advance. For large events (50+ guests) or Mechoui Whole Lamb, please give us at least 1 week notice.

Yes! We deliver throughout the DMV area (Washington DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia). Delivery fees vary by distance. For events within 5 miles of our Silver Spring location, delivery is complimentary on orders over $500.

Mechoui is a whole lamb roasted in the traditional Senegalese style — slow-cooked until the meat falls off the bone. It's the centerpiece of celebrations and special occasions. Our Mechoui serves 25-30 guests and is priced at $480. Please order at least 1 week in advance.
